He completed his basic ENT surgical training in Ireland in 1991, and graduated as a Fellow in ENT Surgery at RCSI, before going to San Diego, California. There he attained post-fellowship research training in otology.

He completed his ENT surgical training as a Senior Registrar in The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and St Vincent's in Melbourne Australia, working there up to 1995. He returned to Ireland and has been working as a Consultant ENT Surgeon in the midlands for the past 23 years.

Mr. O'Driscoll practices in all areas of the ENT specialty. His special interests are rhinology and rhinoplasty, and all aspects of reconstructive nasal surgery. He is presently the Director of the only Irish Endoscopic Sinus Surgery Dissection Course at RCSI.

His subspecialty interests include head and neck cancer, and thyroid and parotid surgery (including facial plastics). He is Visiting ENT Surgeon at the Beit CURE International Hospital Zambia, and has for the past decade been involved in charity work in Africa, building an ENT unit in Lusaka, Zambia in partnership with Irish Aid, GORTA and other International Aid Agencies. This success is owed to the charity ENT Surgery for Zambia Trust Fund Ltd., of which Mr. O'Driscoll has been a Director since its inception in 2006.
